Honolulu, Hawaii—Matthew Rose has joined PacRim Marketing Group as an Account Executive in its Media Division.  He will advise clients on how to increase share and spend of the traveler market from Asia.  In his consulting role, he will  develop and tailor strategies and programs to best position client brands in a mix of Asian-language print and online media, including web portal site sponsorships and advertorials.    
 
Rose is fluent in Japanese and has more than 15 years experience in marketing, business development and customer service, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.  Prior to joining PacRim Marketing Group, Rose worked with Advantage Sales and Marketing in Honolulu, Hawaii, as an Epson Brand Advocate, where he consulted on sales, merchandising, and training for the brand.  Before that, he was Territory Business Manager – East/Hotel Concierge Services for Be Our Guest Directory, a multi-media marketing platform helping Oahu’s businesses connect with vacationers, based in Haleiwa, Hawaii.  His work background also includes manager for Kamiya Gold, Inc., a Laie-based distributor and international exporter of papaya, where he established  relations with wholesalers in Hong Kong.
 
Prior to moving to Hawaii, he was Distribution Sales Manager and Western Regional Sales Manager at Sumida America, Inc., in San Jose, California, and Assistant Western Regional Sales Manager at Taiyo Yuden (USA), also in San Jose.  Rose started his career as an account executive with Sumitomo Corporation of America, in San Diego, California.
