DESIREE YAMAMOTO JOINS PACRIM MARKETING GROUP, INC.

Honolulu -- PacRim Marketing Group, Inc. announced the hiring of Desiree Yamamoto as Marketing and Client Services Manager. In her new position, she will be responsible for helping clients reach the Japanese market through various integrated marketing services, including advertising, public relations, promotions and event planning.ÊÊ "Desiree has the cross cultural perspective and marketing experience to be sensitive to our clients' needs and to assist them in reaching their goals," said Dave Erdman, President and CEO of PacRim Marketing Group, Inc.

A former Cherry Blossom Festival Queen and a Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, California) graduate, Yamamoto brings multi-cultural and leadership skills, as well as technical and marketing work experience to PacRim Marketing Group.

Yamamoto came to PacRim Marketing Group from Red Rover Creative, where she held the title of Client Service and Planning Executive. Prior to that, she worked at Laird Christianson Advertising in Honolulu as an Assistant Account Executive.

As the Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce Cherry Blossom Festival Queen, from March 2006 to March 2007, Yamamoto served as cultural ambassador for the local Japanese American community on the U.S. Mainland and in Japan, speaking and providing support to more than 60 local businesses and non-profit service organizations.

Yamamoto also is active with the American Heart Association, serving as the 2007 Heart Walk Keiki Fair chairperson. In 2006, she assisted with the annual Heart Ball gala. She continues to provide support for the Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce by serving on the Cherry Blossom Festival Steering Committee.

Yamamoto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Marketing, with a double minor in Computer Science Multimedia and Studio Arts.
